Industrial Equipment

We build heaters that get designed into industrial equipment rather than attached to it. That means working around bolt patterns, cutouts, and obstructions, matching the heat output to what the process actually needs, and building to the voltage and amperage the machine has available. Equipment manufacturers come to us when an off-the-shelf heater won't fit or won't perform inside their design.
At Michaels Enterprises, you talk to the engineer who will design your heater. Whether you're an engineer with drawings in hand or a buyer who just knows what the equipment needs to do, we'll work through the details with you. Our larger competitors usually route you to a sales agent instead, and that's where important details and better solutions get lost.

The Problem
Our customer needed a heating blanket embedded into a piece of industrial equipment used for melting and processing wax. The heater had to have holes and cutout areas to bolt into place and avoid obstructions, and it needed to produce enough heat to evenly melt the wax without over-temping either the heater or the bulk material.
The Solution
We worked closely with the customer's engineering team to develop the heating blanket specifications, producing various heat sources in single- and three-phase designs across single- and multi-zone configurations. The prototype was engineered to draw minimal amperage while still generating enough heat to reach the required process temperature.
The Results
After several design prototypes, the customer was happy with the outcome and proceeded to purchase several units of the new design. They went on to request our assistance redesigning the heating source for their entire equipment line.
