Food Processing

At Michaels Enterprises, you talk to the engineer who will design your heater. Whether you're an engineer with drawings in hand or a buyer who just knows what the equipment needs to do, we'll work through the details with you. Our larger competitors usually route you to a sales agent instead, and that's where important details and better solutions get lost.
We make heaters for our customers to process honey, syrup, grease and high viscosity foods that must achieve a consistent temperature in order to transfer or make use of the products.
Client identity below is withheld for confidentiality reasons, but all technical details are intact. Please contact us if you have any questions.
The Problem
Our customer needed to heat a large hopper in order to achieve a consistent temperature in the working of raw food products in a large scale baking operation. The heater was going to need to cover a large metal (compound shaped) piece of equipment, and the food product was not going to be in contact with the heating pads—instead, the heater would need to warm the outside of the metal housing for a low temperature application.
The Solution
We designed a low wattage heating solution, calibrating the minimal heat needed to ensure that the metal was kept at a constant temperature. The customer sent us a piece of equipment that we could take measurements from, and we then proceeded to manufacture a heater that fit the equipment precisely.
Please note: Industrial Silicone rubber is not Food Grade. Silicone rubber must not come into contact with food ingredients.
